LGBT+ Anthem: 1950- King Princess

Favourite Association Memory: Attending a POC LGBTQIA+ picnic during the end of the year! It was really great to see other queer POC and get to chat and know everyone! + Observatory Hill was full of flowers so it was absolutely gorgeous.

3rd Year Anthropology at St. Mary’s

I love cosplaying and making props! It's genuinely taught me so much about such a wide range of things-- historical materials, geography, 3D modelling and how to work with the strangest materials. It's always been a safe space for me as well, just given the amount of queer cosplayers there are! The most interesting thing I've made this year is a spine sword with a human head on it! Sculpting everything was a pain but it was worth it.

3rd Year Visual Art and Film at Butler

I'm 25-year-old from the Peak District, near Manchester and I have lived all around England but never left the UK. I identify as Christian, Whovian and a Grime nerd. I am a demigirl trans femme and woman. I identify with being genderfluid between binary female (she/her) and xenogender (it/its). I am also a demi-romantic/-sexual attracted to women and non-binary people! I see myself as an artist and creative as my primary identity and I spent most of my childhood outside of the school system due to being autistic and dyslexic.

Hi! I'm Ainsleigh and I'm this year's Publicity and Media Officer. I'm super excited to perform this role, and I can't wait to meet everyone in the association! In my free time, I love to read, write, bake, and listen to music. I'm excited to have a great year with the association, and I look forward to getting to know more of the LGBT+ community in Durham!
